
XSF was selected as one of the 20 finalists for the Local Adaptation Champions Awards under the Financial Governance Category.
The Foundation’s work in the Mt. Kalatungan Range promotes and advocates the Payment for Ecosystems Services (PES), a voluntary payment mechanism that creates incentives among businesses, organizations, and individuals to finance indigenous communities in upland areas rich in biodiversity, to plant endemic forest trees and coffee was recognized as a pioneering locally-led effort to adapt to the negative impacts of climate change.
